The Baby Went To Utah!

We were lucky enough to be able to go to Utah for Easter weekend. We arrived Thursday night after our flight was delayed 45 minutes, for a fuel leak. Nate's parents picked us up and we stayed at there house. Friday, I was able to go shopping for maternity clothes, at stores that they don't have in Arizona. I was very excited and got some cute things, if I do say so myself. After shopping, I was able to go visit Allyse's Bridal and see two of the girls that I worked with. Going in there made me realize how much I really missed it. The whole store looked great, but I have to say that I miss all the girls, Janet, as well as decorating the store. Friday night, we chilled with Nate's family until we went out to dinner with my family. We ate dinner at Johnny Carrino's and then went to see my sisters new house. On Saturday I was really spoiled and had two baby showers. The first was at my Aunt Cindy's house. I was really excited to be able to see my family and friends that were able to come. I am grateful for all of the gifts that we got and it is really going to help get ready for our little girl. We got some really cute things that I cannot wait to be able to use. The shower was really great! We had yogurt, fruit, bread, cheese, orange juice, and I'm sure I am leaving something out. I do have to say a big thank you again to Mom, Shantelle, and Cindy who put the shower on. As well as another shout out to Cindy for the amazing scrapbooks that she made. For those of you who scrapbook, she is the queen of queens of scrapbooking. I can't even say how amazing they were! These pictures don't do them justice either.

After that shower, I had another one in Utah County that Nate's family put on for me. That shower was amazing too!! A lot of friends and family as well as great gifts. Nate's mom, sisters, and sister-in-laws all went in together on a swing. We actually just got it the other day and had to set it up! It is so so cute and exactly what we need (or so we hope). This is a picture of it. You can't tell but there are stars that shine on the canopy part that move with the mobile. We are hoping that it works and she likes it. We also bought our bedding with the gift cards we received at the showers. And thank you to Shantelle for telling us where to go, and for not being mad since we got the one that she wanted. At that shower we had cookies, cream puffs, yougurt, fruit, and chocoloate. Everything was perfect and I could not have asked for anything better.

After the shower, Nate's family had a BBQ and easter egg hunt for all the kids. It was really fun to be surrounded by everyone and to see how excited the kids were to find the eggs. And FYI, I actually ate a Bratwurst and liked it! The rest of the night we were able to just hang out with Nate's family. I had forgotten how much fun it was just to chill and talk.
On Sunday, we went to one of my aunt and uncle's farewell since they were going on a mission. We then spent the afternoon with my family eating crepes, and hanging out. All too soon it seemed that we were on our way to the airport. :( It was really sad to leave, but at the same time we were excited to go home to the 80 degree weather. After an hour and a half flight delay, ( we do not suggest flying on U.S. Airways) we made it home.

Again, we are so grateful for our families and friends and all the love and support that they have given us. I can't say enough how much I appreciate all the hard work from both families on throwing such great baby showers. We are truly blessed to have you all in our lives. We love you!

As of today I am 29 weeks and getting closer and closer. Also, I'm not sure if I have said it here on the blog, but we have agreed on a name. It is going to be...... Sadie Lynn Fisher!!

Getting Closer and Closer

I am now 26 weeks and counting! It acutally seems like it has been going pretty fast, but I hear that the last few months are the hardest and longest. As far as how I am feeling, I'm doing pretty good. There are still mornings that are not so good, but it is a lot better than the first few months. We have been trying to get things ready, but not overdoing it. We did buy a crib, which I am very very excited about. It has a changing table attached which I think will be nice. We got it on a Friday night and Nate was so cute and suprised me by putting it all together the next day while I was coaching at the gym. It is so cute how excited he is to have a little girl and be a dad. We are only two weeks away for coming up to Utah for a baby shower! We are so excited to see friends and family, and I hope that the weather is nice when we go. :) We have heard that it still snows. As far as the weather down here goes, not trying to make you jealous, but it is perfect! This time of year you smell all the blossoms and citrus everytime you walk outside. We have about 7 palm trees in our back yard and two bogunvea's. (I have no idea how to spell that, but maybe Mom Fisher can correct me since that is her favorite flower). Nate was outside laying on our hamock, staring up at the blue sky, through the palm trees, smelling the blossoms and the grapefruit tree that we also have. He said that he felt like he was on a tropical island, just without the beach. We are really really liking it here more and more.
Another fun thing is that we are planning a trip to San Diego!! Nothing is official yet, but we have our time share and thought that since it is only about a 5 hour drive it could be somthing fun before the baby comes. We are thinking about sometime in May and going to Sea World, the Wild Animal Park and the Zoo. If anyone has any other suggestions let us know. Well that is about all for now, hopefully we will be able to see everyone when we come up to Utah! We love and miss everyone.

Half Way Update!

As of today I am officially 20 weeks (5 months), and am half way! I am starting to feel a little better in the mornings, but I still get sick sometimes. It could be waking up at 4:30am every morning, but hey, that would make anyone sick. I feel that I am eating more than I have been in the past, but still am not eating as much as I used too or want to. I hate not being able to eat what I want, when I want it. That's the other thing, and I think that it actually bugs Nate more than me, is that I am so indecisive when it comes to food. If we are going out somewhere it will take me 20 minutes to finally say, "I don't care, you choose". I usually just go where other people have choosen and find something when I am there. I really haven't had any cravings except (and I know that I am supporting a myth by saying this) Dill Pickle Pringles. I did really love those before I was pregnant, so it's not too weird. We are still thinking about baby names and trying to agree on one. Nate still has one that he just can't get out of his head (I still have not taken to the name) but he is being somewhat sensitive and trying to think of other names for me. We did go out and make our first big purchase. We bought our car seat and stroller!! We are very excited. Now many who know me may think this an odd choice, but we wanted to go with something that was gender neutral, that is why it's not pink. We actually found one that was SO me. It was black and red, but after thinking about it and realizing that everything in my house was black and red, we went with this other one. We have also purchased a cute dress, socks, and little body suits. We have not picked out any bedding yet, but we are looking for that as well as a crib next.

Drum Roll Please........ It's a GIRL!!!

We are so excited! We went to the doctor and he let us know that we are going to be the lucky parents of a beautiful girl! He did have a little bit of a hard time trying to get a good profile picture because of course, she had to be completly upside down. Not even born yet and she is already stubborn like her dad. :)
The doctor made sure that she has all her fingers and all her toes. Everything else looked good and nothing to worry about so far. She is growing at the right rate and is getting cuter and cuter by the day. I am now half way!! (19 weeks) If you ask me on a daily basis I will tell you that it seems like it's taking forever. But I really can't believe that I am already half way. Nate has one name that he loves, but it hasn't really grown on me yet. I think now knowing that it is a girl it may start to grow on me, but we are thiking of some others. Well we will keep you updated on the progress.

Boy or Girl?!?

Ha Ha just kidding. I am not that big...yet! As of today I am 15 weeks or almost 4 months along. My next appointment is on February 11, and we get to find out if it is a boy or a girl!!! We are so excited and I can't wait to find out so I can start buying stuff and putting together the babies room. Right now neither of us are really hoping for one or the other, although we do have a few names picked out for each. We think it would be fun to have everyone give us there guess as to what you think we are going to have. So let us know!! And if you are one who uses facts or superstition here are some that may help make your decision.
1. I have been pretty sick, throwing up in the morning and sometimes in the evening.
2. The heartbeat was at 160 beats per minute (some say the higher it is, means a girl)
3. The Chinese calendar says that I am going to have a boy.
4. I haven't had any weird cravings except Subway. And the other morning I did make Nate go get me some Ice Cream
for breakfast. :)
5. Nate's family has 5 kids and the first was a girl
6. My family has 5 kids and the first was a boy
7. I have no idea if I am carrying low or high.
And that's all the things that I can think of. So we would love yo know what you all think! And we will of course keep you updated.
