Thanks Mom!!

So this post is way late, but better late than never. My mom came down from Utah for a week to help out with the baby. She got here Thursday night, the day after Sadie was born. She was so so helpful. She would take Sadie when I needed a break, she cooked Nate and I meals, she helped keep our place clean, she re-organized our kitchen, but most importantly she would sit and talk to me. It was so much fun hanging out with her during the day. We would sit and talk about everything and we loved watching Ellen together. Having my mom here, made me realize how much I miss home and the rest of my family. It was so hard to see her go! Thank you so much for everything mom!!! We miss and love you so much and can't wait to be able see you again, ( and Sadie misses all the snuggling).

Family Life

Well it's been a week since Sadie came into our lives...already! Time has gone by so fast already. Our little family is doing great! Sadie is healthy and strong. Celeste is continuing to heal, she's really being a trooper through all the pain. Sadie has been to the pediatrician twice now. The first time was on Monday. The doctor said she had been scientifically proven to be perfect. She weighed 7 lbs 4 oz, 8 oz down from her birth weight. She went back today just because the doctor wanted to weigh her again. Today she weighed 7 lbs 7 oz. She's going back up in weight. Let the growing begin, but hopefully not too fast. She's a perfect baby and does everything that babies are supposed to do, including keeping her mommy and daddy up at night. Sorry about the overload of Sadie. Celeste is much better at this blogging thing but she doesn't feel up to it yet, so you're all stuck with me for a little bit longer probably. Once she's healed she'll be back and the posts will be much better. In the meantime, enjoy some new pictures and a couple of videos.

Being discharged from the hospital. I have to admit, I was very excited to go home with my family. Sleeping on a small sofa was not fun.

Sadie's first time in her car seat on the ride home from the hospital. So little!

Sadie's Arizona aunts, Giselle and Anissa.

I definitely got the short end of this stick! Dodger is great, but...really?
We absolutely love little baby feet!

Sleeping Sadie.
Sadie's first time in her swing. It kind of swallows her up.

A little video of awake time with Sadie. Awake time doesn't happen a lot during the day. The night is a different story...

And finally, Sadie's first bath at home with Grandma Brewer. Nothing beats the smell of clean newborn babies!

Sadie Lynn at the hospital.

I apologize that everything is just getting thrown on here and not very well organized. I'm just trying to get pics and vids on as fast as I can so I can spend more time with my little slim Sadie. Enjoy!

Introducing Sadie Lynn Fisher

Sadie Lynn Fisher
July 15, 2009
6:21 pm
7 lbs 13 oz
20 ins

Both mommy and Sadie are doing Excellent. We ended up doing a last minute c-section. Sadie just would not drop so the doctor was worried that Celeste's pelvis was too narrow. It all happened very fast. Within 25 minutes Celeste was already preped and ready for surgery. And before we knew it, Sadie was here. Sadie is gorgeous and early votes say she looks just like her mom. Hopefully we'll have more pictures to come. Right now, we both need to sleep a little...hopefully.

Well...... Still Here..... No baby..... and nothings Happening!

Well we have been at the hospital since 5 am this morning and it is now 1:30 pm and there has not been any change. I just got checked and I am barely at a one!! A one!! My doctor just came in and checked me and he said that he can't even break my water yet becuase it is still so far back. The contractions do not really hurt yet, but the thing that is killing me is I am so hungry!!! And all of you who know me, know how much I love food and love to eat. I have not been able to eat anything since last night. I think it kindof ironic that you are told that for 9 months you have to make sure that you eat enough for two and do 6 small meals a day, and have snacks, and now all of a sudden they hand you a cup of ice and say enjoy!! Yes that is killing me. Well hopefully something will happen so and we can keep you updated!
-Love Nate and Celeste, and Sadie (hopefully soon)

"Do do do do do do do do....." (Jeopardy Theme)

Well, here I am at 40 weeks, past my due date, and still pregnant and uncomfortable. And yes that baby counter should say -1! But the end is in sight and there is light at the end of the tunnel.

I had my doctors appointment yesterday and he said that nothing has happened! Not even dilated to a mere 1. I have just been chillin' at the same measurements for three weeks. He did measure the baby and thinks she may weigh around 7 pounds. Which sounds a lot better than the 8+ he estimated last week. So my doctor has scheduled me to be induced WEDNESDAY (yes, tomorrow) at 5:00 am! We are so so so excited. I am so happy to actually have a date that I know we are going to go into the hospital and get things started. So I get to pack my bags and get everything ready today after work and then it's baby time!!!! We are going to do our best to keep everyone updated so keep checking our blog and hopefully soon, Sadie will finally make her big debut!

No Baby = More Projects

So here is the update. I only have 12 days left!! I went to my doctors appointment on Tuesday to see if anything has happened. I tried not to hope too much so that I would not be dissapointed if nothing has happened, but I have progressed. I have not dialated yet, but the process has started and I should be dialating soon! I was really excited to hear that at least something has happened in a week. The doctor did say that I am measuring at 38 cm (which I am 38 weeks, so that's good) and Sadie is head down and getting ready. I have my next appointment on Tuesday and I am hoping that I am still progessing.
Since the baby is not here yet I am trying to keep myself busy with finishing a bunch of projects and getting the house and baby's room ready. Here is what we have been doing:
1- Our entire house is tile. So we wanted to get some carpet for the family room and the baby's room so if we wanted to play on the floor we could. We have been waiting for almost a month to get the carpet and it finally came!! Here are some before and after pictures.

Notice that Dodger felt he needed to be in both pictures once the carpet was in. He has already taken a very strong liking to the carpet.

2- As part as Sadie's bedding set we got this toy bag. Looking at it, I did not think that I would ever use it for toys so I tried to come up with a new idea. In the end, it is the perfect thing to hold all of Sadie's bows and clips. And of course I had to add a little bit of "bling" (even though Nate was against it).

3- ( Dad Fisher this is for you - Love big foot) So this is not a project but I have been talking about how big my feet are!! I can't believe that I am actually putting a picutre up. They truly get so swollen, that all I can do is (most of the time) just laugh. So here is a picture of my feet so you can really see how big they are. Honestly, I did have ankles and an ankle bone.

4- I have been working on the baskets for the baker's shelf. I have finally finished the last one and we were able to set them up. I am so excited that they turned out looking so cute.

5- The last project I actually can't take any credit for (except that I am making the baby), but my sister did everything. She has this amazing talent of scrapbooking these letters. I have been looking forward to getting these letter's since I found out I was pregnant!! She did such a good job putting everything together and the colors match perfectly. I did a few close ups so you could see all the details on the letters. I could not wait to put the letters up. I think that it just helps complete the room. Thanks Shantelle!!

We are so so so excited to greet Sadie soon. We will make sure to keep everyone updated on any new developments.
We love you all!!

Coming Soon..... A New Post!! Look for it tonight!
