8 Months, Easter, Birthdays, and 9 Months

I am a little behind, so here is quite a post about what has been happening the past month. Sadie turned 8 months on March 15. She is growing and growing! She now weighs 19 pounds.
This was her Easter dress. (I was very proud that I did not buy her something pink ).
Sadie is sleeping pretty good. She usually falls asleep around 7:30-8:00, but then she wakes up sometime during the night, sometimes twice. We usually feed her and she will go right back to sleep till about 7:30 am. I am hoping that she will start to sleep through the night like she used to.
March 17 was my sister-in-law Ali's birthday (and St. Patricks Day). We were able to go spend the evening with my family to celebrate.

I think Ali is 45?!? Man she is old! Ok, ok she is only..... maybe she doesn't want me to tell. Anyway, it was a lot of fun. She is due at the end of April with twins!! I cannot wait for them to come. Yea for babies!!
Sadie is talking a lot! She is saying mum, dad dad, and chatting away. She is pretty loud and I think she loves the sound of her own voice. Any chance she gets, she will just talk, talk, talk. It makes church really fun. ;)
We found out at the party that Sadie loves balloons. I always get really scared when she is playing with them. I hate the sound when they pop. She hasn't popped one yet, cross your fingers.
Umm... could you have chunkier thighs.
All tuckered out.
We took the top off her excersaucer and she loves playing in it! She used to crawl underneath the toy and get stuck so we made it easier to get to.
Look at those cheeks!! I know you just want to pinch them, I do!
Here is our annual Brewer Easter Egg roll. We all boil and decorate eggs and then roll them at each other and see who's egg does not crack.
And here is Sadie at 9 months, actually not till the 15th but close. I can't believe how fast she is growing! We are going to be posting some videos. Sadie is taking her first steps all by herself! She is taking 3-4 steps and keeping her balance. I keep trying to tell her that she is not old enough to be walking, but apparently she is a smarty pants and wants to prove me wrong.
Other than Lovin' Sadie not much else is happening. I do love my job. We are in the middle of doing interviews for next years fashion team. It takes me away from being a consultant in the store, but I really enjoy getting to work with these girls. We are going to have a fashion camp June 11 and 12 with a lot of fun workshops. Nate is still applying and looking for jobs. No luck yet, but we are hopeful that something will come up that Nate enjoys to do. I almost forgot! We were asked to choreograph a cabaret solo for the Lehi ballroom team. I am so excited. Nate is actually helping me too, even though he vowed he would not dance again. Slowly but surely. That's all for now, but we will be posting some videos so watch for those. Love Ya All!

Lots of Fun Stuff!

What a happy baby we have!! We have had a couple of fun weeks. We just got back from church and had to take some pictures.
She actually does pretty good at church, most of the time. ;)

Last week, Nate, Sadie, and I went up to Idaho. We were asked to judge the ballroom competition up there. We dropped Sadie off with Nate's sister Cydnee, (thank you again so so much) in Pocatello and made our way to Idaho Falls.
Our room was paid for as well as our meals when we were at the competition. We got there Friday at about 4:00 pm. We checked into our hotel, changed, and then went to the competition. That night we were judging 79 formation routines!! Luckily we got to sit down for these. It was a really long night, we didn't get back to our hotel till about 12:30 am, but it was a lot of fun. On Saturday we got to the competition about 7:30 am. We had a schedule of judging for 2 hours and then a break for 2 hours. It didn't really end up that way and Nate and I were judging for the entire day.
Of course I was not very smart and I wore heels. I wanted to look all professional, but my feet were hurting so bad after about 5 hours. Anytime we were judging we were out on the floor walking around.

Some of the dances had so many competitors we had to do four heats of 18!! There were a lot of people there. Nate and I at the evening session of the competition.
At the end of the competition, they had one more event called "Team Match". This is where all the teams, (high school or private teams) competed in a fun free for all. There were 4 dances and three judges. Everyone is on the floor cheering for their team and the judges are in the middle of it.
This competition is known for just having fun and trying to bribe the judges. While we were judging different teams would come up to us and give us things including Leis, hats, candy, beads, and one school even went as far as sending all their girls up to give Nate kisses on the cheek! Lehi High School we need to talk! He ended up giving them .5 higher on their score ;)

This is what we looked like after the Team Match competition. We got a lot of bribes and some of them worked. One team gave me candy and of course I gave them a point higher. This is Andrea Hale. She was my coach while I was competing. She is pregnant and is due in a couple of months with a girl. Congrats!!

Saturday was a long night and we were really excited to be able to rest. Overall it was really fun. We hope to be able to come back next year and judge again. We are also hoping that we will be able to judge more competitions in Utah.

We picked up Sadie on Sunday as we were driving home. We were told she did really well.
Sadie is also starting to beg for food! Every time Nate and I start to eat something, she knows. She looks at us, her mouth starts to water, and she heads over to us with her mouth open. This is her eating Nate's ice cream. She has also tried Doritos, cookies, rice, and many other things a 7 1/2 month old should not be eating. Well more to come!

7 Months and Counting!

Sadie just continues to grow and grow. She is now 7 months and we are loving it! We have made it to Utah and are excited to be home. As soon as we got here Sadie decided that she wanted to crawl! Luckily Nate was able to see her start to crawl before he had to head back to Arizona.
Nate was in Arizona for a week and a half finishing up work and school and was going to come home on Saturday February 13. He is such a sweetheart, that he actually came home three days early to surprise Sadie and I! We are so excited to have Nate back.
Now that Sadie has been crawling for about three weeks, she thinks that it is time for her to stand up. She is now pulling herself up on everything!! I can't believe that she is already crawling and now thinks that she is big enough to stand. We are now going through and baby proofing the house. What a job it is. There are so many things that she can get into.
One of her favorite things to crawl towards is cords and of course the dog's food. She has had a little bit of a rough time adjusting here. I am not sure if it is the elevation, the weather, of just a new place. She is not sleeping during the night and when Nate was gone (of course) she was waking up almost every hour screaming! It was a really long two weeks while Nate was gone. Sadie is getting a lot better and we are getting more sleep.
My sister let us borrow some toys and this bouncer and Sadie loves it! She sits in there and just loves to bounce.
I have started working at Allyse's Bridal again and I am loving it! I love everything about my job. Who wouldn't love working with Brides all day and gorgeous dresses!
Nate is looking for a job now that he is here and playing "Mr. Mom".

So Cute and Happy!!
Yep, those are Mardi Gras beads.
Here is Sadie on Valentines Day. Such a sweetheart!
We are so lucky that we have Sadie and she is such a beautiful baby!

6 Months!

Is it already time for another month update?!? I can't believe how fast time flies. There have been a lot of things going on this last month. We were able to go home for Christmas and we loved seeing family and friends. In fact, we loved it so much we decided to move back to Utah!! Ok ok, there were some other things that helped us make this decision, but family and friends were the most important. We are going to be driving to Utah on Friday. I don't think it has really hit me that we are moving back.
Nate and I are going to miss Arizona. We Love the weather here. I can't believe we are trading that in for the cold weather of Utah. How did I ever last 22 years?!? We also love the whole "feel" of Arizona. Somewhat like California, but without the ocean. I know that we will come visit. And yes, this picture shows you what happens when you take too long taking pictures. She wanted that piece of paper so bad.
We are going to be living with Nate's parents for a little bit. We still have people renting our condo and we are going to take this opportunity to save some money. Unfortunately, Nate has to stay in Arizona two extra weeks to finish out some classes. :( While I am glad that he is in school and we have gotten free tuition, it is going to be really sad to not be with him.
Now enough about us boring people, back to the baby!!! She is sitting up all by herself now. As you can see by the pictures. She still falls over some times and is not happy about it, but she is getting better. She can also sit up while laying on her side. I think that her belly helps give her a good center of gravity. :) It is huge!
I am not sure as to why she loves to chew on her shoes. Actually, I am not sure as to why we let her chew on her shoes. Probably because it makes her happy. She seems to be teething, but then again I said that three months ago and nothin'. So, as you can tell she is still bald AND has no teeth. Sweet!
Lately we have been giving Sadie some 1st foods. She really likes them all. Even the Peas and Green Beans. She gets extremely dirty after eating these and usually needs a bath. During the process she will try and feed herself, stick her hand in her mouth, and try to grab you. All good times.
This may not look like a enjoyable face, but she is digging the peas!
Of coarse, Dodger. I am trying to make it a point to include him on the blog, not that he can look at it. He is such a fat and lazy dog, but we love him. And Sadie just can't get enough of him. (See our last post with the video if you want proof).
"Sup Dog".
"Mom.. Mom.. Mom.. Mom.. Mom.. Mom.. Mom.. Mom.. Mom.. Mom.. Mom....." "What?!" "Hi"
Sadie is getting so close to crawling!!! She will get on her stomach, push up on her knees and rock back and forth. She has a little bit of an army crawl going on as well. Expect videos to come shortly. And yes, that would be Sadie going for her shoe again.
"Got it!!" Sadie is also really funny. She will get up on her side like she is in the picture above, (without the shoe) and just pose. She likes to sit there for some time looking at Nate and I. I think we are in big trouble with this one.
"So Shiny." Definitely her mother's daughter. :)
And yes, last but not least, she has now discovered when I put bows or flowers on her head. I am hoping this is just a phase. Since she is going to be bald for some time, she will need to like all sorts of headbands and bows. I have too many cute ones that she needs to wear.
Yea for Mom and Sadie! I can't believe how much I love this girl. She makes our life so much fun and exciting. I can't wait to have her grow up with both grandparents, cousins, and aunt and uncles. She is going to have so much fun. We love Arizona so much and the people that we have met here. I have enjoyed working at the University of Phoenix and met a lot of great people there that I will be friends with forever. We are also leaving Noah and Giselle, our best friends. We have had so much fun with them through the years. I can't believe that we are not going to be so close. I am not sure I will be able to handle being away from them. Thank you to them for always being there for us and we are going to miss you guys so much! Thanks for a great time Arizona! We will be back soon to visit.
